LargePeter advises an untrained 40-year-old mother of two to study Dorian Yates

imagine how insanely inside ur own head u gotta be to give the "advice" to an untrained 40 yo woman with 2 kids asking for beginning lifting advice to study an ex-olympian mass monster

If you had any understanding about context, I said that Yates explains how to perform movements by giving an overview then the reasons biomechanically. I didn't say train to all out failure for one set then push harder.

If you listen to Israetel or Nippard they'd have you doing weird shit that doesn't for how the body naturally does because of science. Nowhere did I say train like Yates.

Read better.

u are back peddling now when the ester has reached it's half time

an untrained 40 yo woman looking for a few exercises to perform at the local gym do NOT need to understand how to do a gym exercise "biomechanically", much less from an 80s mass monster ex-olympian roid head. wtf are u thinking here son ?

There's no back peddling. Do the movement properly through the body's natural plains of motion, or don't do it properly and risk injury. Not that difficult.

fine

so u agree there is absolutely NO REASON AT ALL for an untrained 40 yo woman who wants to start working out to start with studying "biomechanics" from ex-olympian Dorian Yates on YouTube ? (u probably refer to him "the professor" ?)

Female's don't need a special workout routine. They should be using the same basic compound's as men. Throw in a few isolations for the finer details and call it a day Who the fuck comes up with this shit?

I'm probably the last person you want to ask. When I walked into the gym over 40 something years ago I focused on compound work only with barbells. That's how I built my foundation. It's your meat and potatoes of all programs...you want to build a strong ass core, balance, stability, etc...When I decided I wanted to get into competing I started throwing in some isolation work which I mainly did with bb's, db's. I use very little machines and that hasn't changed much.

I kept it simple...no need to reinvent the wheel.

I disagree. I just said the complete opposite - learn how the body is supposed to move, then proceed with lifting so the body moves in that fashion. No one has explained it better than Dorian Yates when he's teaching you how to move and how to feel the target muscle/muscle group.

This is another failed gotchya attempt from someone who has no clue what he's talking about.
