What do you expect to inherit? (SRS)
i will be inheriting 50% of a home worth at least 800 grand. i will also likely be inheriting other assets valued at more than 100K.
i will be using this money to fund my retirement srs. feels good that i can live a chill life where working is optional.

lol @ thinking a measly 500k CAD is something u can retire on esp when ur 30 years out from seniority .
also i plan to retire in a country with a lower cost of living. maybe somewhere in Asia, Europe, or South America.

I came really close to inheriting half my mother’s estate , but unfortunately my sister was the executor, and refused to show me the Will after mom passed .

the chances are high that i will inherit a substantial amount by the time i reach retirement age though.

At least you’ll be able to live off that for a couple years before you spend the rest of your life on welfare.

An executor cannot just do whatever they want.
If you were supposed to get something, and you didn’t, you need to talk to a lawyer.
She will owe you the value of what you lost in damages. She can’t claim the estate doesn’t exist so she doesn’t owe anything. She can fucking sell her house.

Mom passed without a cent to her name. My old man has a house with some equity but not really much retirement money since he has a pension. Id rather I get nothing and I get another 25 years with my dad.
FIL doesn't have much but property ans house in super rural WV. MiL/Step FIL have a decent chunk of change and equity. Step FIL has his 102 year old father still hanging on with something like 20m in assets. That splits 3 ways I think when he passes. Unsure of details and I dont like to count/think/daydream about these things. Id rather have the time with them.

Nothing, I told my mother to live her life and do some travelling and shit, I don't want or need inheritance money. So she is. No idea how my brothers feel about that, don't really care.

I'm inheriting loneliness after my parents go because I'm otherwise FA
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
