the very first response to that thread was racist yet the user wasn't banned and still probably isn't. Not to mention not a single person in the thread bothered to point it out.

I barely browse the misc anymore, but it doesn't surprise me that as the popularity of the misc has faded to a tiny fraction of what it once was, that the quality of posts and the quality of the moderating has deteriorated in response. Nobody gives a **** about the misc anymore and that's made obvious by how few people use this forum now, the quality of the posts, and the type of person that would even post here anymore.

I had this discussion with some people IRL before.
They get so triggered when I say I think homosexuality is probably a biological defect.
I don't mind them at all, but for sure it is not what nature intended. I mean, we wouldn't procreate that way.
The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.

Good, I can continue my actually productive discussion with terrysorange here. Thanks.

Brb, don't want to hang out with someone because they smoke marijuana in their personal life. Am I irrational and prejudiced?

Brb, don't want to hang out with uptight judgmental Christians, who are otherwise good and kind. Am I irrational and prejudiced?

Brb, don't want to spend time around anti-vaxxers, can't handle listening to their potato logic. Am I irrational and prejudiced?
No one's saying you need to seek out a gay person to be friends with. But if you had a good friend who one day told you he was gay, and you ceased to be friends with him purely on that basis, you are homophobic and a twat. There's not much else to it.
I have plenty of friends that are gay. We have zero issues. Yes, you would be a bad friend to just drop someone like that.

The problem I have is that you are saying James is not entitled to his opinion. Your premise of "doesn't negatively impact you or anyone else" is kind of subjective. What if James disagrees with homosexuality and doesn't want his kids exposed or impacted by it? What if James is a Muslim and this is part of his religious beliefs?

He has already said they should have equal rights and shouldn't be treated negatively. Isn't that enough? Whyforcethe issue that hehasto associate? Do we force atheists to go to church? Naw. He is clearly tolerant, what you are asking is past that.

Webster’s Dictionary defines tolerate as: “to recognize and respect [other’s beliefs, practices, etc.] without sharing them,” The traditional meaning of tolerance means to value, respect, and accept the individual without necessarily approving of, or participating in, their beliefs or behaviors. It accurately differentiates between what a person thinks or does (behavior) and the person himself.

“Tolerance” today, however, is a one-way street. “Tolerance” seems to mean afree pass for those who support the gay lifestyle, butit’s a muzzle for you if you don’t.

Pretty much all I have to say. Apparently you aren't free to think what you want to think, even if you are otherwise a good and kind person, even if your thinkingdoesn't negatively impact you or anyone else.

Guess I am irrational and prejudiced for being free to associate where I want. LMAO

Yeah it's pretty simple but everyone gets so emotional that we aren't allowed to call a spade a spade anymore. Instead they are heroes
