Smart guy but is becoming very similar to other red pill gurus which kind of brings down his stature as an intellectual.

Which is a shame really because I really don't think he is in the same category as a regular redpill neckbeard youtube guru but sometimes he ends up spouting the same stuff and it's hard not to consider him in the same category.

He should stay classy and avoid association with maligned alt-right figures and he can be a better teacher than, say, Stephen Molyneux or Milo.

There is really nothing wrong with having the same views as the other anti-PC youtube people. But I believe that JP as an intellectual is above professional trolls like Milo and redpill philosphers like Molyneux and should try to steer clear from them rather than put himself in their midst and get maligned by association. If he continues to do so, it will seem that he is less of an intellectual thinker for all young people (right or left, blue pill or red pill) and just another red-pill old man with a youtube channel.

Oh I'v seen those, and I agree. Although, I believe he has more than enough sense to distance himself from red-pill stuff.

It seems like he has been talking about this stuff for YEARS now, way before Milo. It's not co-incidence that they would have a conversation eventually.
I tend to watch his lecture bits myself. I really find his ideas on philosophy and psychology interesting.

The main appeal of him is that he is an intellectual. Basing his lectures upon years of study and reflection.
