I went down the rabbit hole of Fascism for a little while, and (like when I did the same for Socialism) I realized that pop culture has grossly distorted the political philosophy.


My basic definition;Fascism is a political philosophy that mixes authoritarianism with corporatism or syndicalism. With some form of nationalism and transcendent values, as the foundation of a fascist ideology.


What surprised me when I looked into fascism is that there is a strong pragmatic mindsetoutside of the Neo-Nazis Fascist camps.


Many openly believe that in countries that historically are multiracial, cultural nationalism is the best way. Because one of the guiding values of fascist ideology is national unity, so calls for (peaceful or violent) ethnic cleansing or racial separation in a historically multiracial society is antithetical to national unity, and is impractical in terms of national support.

I have also noticed that they are genuinely against conservative or liberal military interventions, and globalization. They want an autarky (a self sufficient economy), rather than usurping or controlling the resources of foreign countries. Many seem to blame globalization, international finance, colonialism, and interventionism for many problems in the world, and believe that if western nations didn't engage in those acts we wouldn't have problems like mass immigration and racial conflicts.

They also believe that all countries should be nationalist, and do what is best for the unity and well being of their nation.

Fascists are also anti-capitalism, they are as critical of consumerism and materialism as Socialists are (though they are anti-Marxist). Fascists tend to have a transcendent values, rather than socio-economic based ones like capitalists do.

I know some people on the misc are sympathetic to, or are outright alt-right, so I thought you guys might find some cultural-nationalist fascist views interesting...

(Note: The key reason I am not fascist is because I don't believe in an authoritarian or corporatist political structure, I favour sociopolitical and economic decentralization. History IMO has shown what happens when sociopolitical and economic power is consolidated, it's a ladder to tyranny. Nor do I believe that hierarchies in a fascist state are necessary for a healthy, happy and flourishing society. I also prefer localism to nationalism.)
