She is clearly depressed and mentally ill herself.

You have to understand for people like that, death may seem like a kind of blessing. In her twisted mind, she probably thought she was helping her bf.

Or she is a cold blooded sociopath. But if she were, she wouldn't have admitted to what she did. Ted Bundy worked the suicide hotline for many years without any complaints. Dude probably low key trolled people into suicide.

When you are around suicidal people you care about, it can really warp your perspective a bit. My own father has encouraged my suicide before when he was angry because I have told him how hopeless I feel my life is. I genuinely believe he meant it at the time. He just doesn't know how to fix things and neither do I. I think that ultimately, no one ought to be held responsible for another person's suicide. It is a choice that each person makes for themselves. The guy was obviously tormented, and he made that decision. Once a person really makes up their mind, there is no turning back. In those final moments, it doesn't matter what anyone says. Other people basically do not even exist to you. It's just you and the end. He had time to turn back, and he would have if he really wanted to. All we can do is respect his decision.

Court ordered stay in psyche ward and ostracized from society.

Not a fan of precedent set by a case like this.

Wouldn't say ZERO culpability, but definitely not manslaughter.

Is it manslaughter if some chick sends me a booty call text when in out at the bar. I say, "nah I'm to drunk to drive." But she convinces me and I crash and die??

Telling a mentally ill person, who is having doubts about going through with a suicide attempt to continue, is directly contributing to their death.

She is responsible for the impact that her words had on him, just like he is responsible for his own death. She is co-responsible, not solely responsible.

By your reasoning, organized crime bosses shouldn't go to prison for ordering hits or orchestrating criminal actions, because they don't literally do it themselves? Do you agree that with that?

People don't make decisions in a vacuum, other people can influence people's decisions significantly (this is well known in social psychology and advertising research for decades).

That plays a huge factor in her punishment. Charles Manson was never convicted of killing anybody directly yet he still went to jail for manslaughter. There's more to it.

It's not the same. A person has virtual agency over their own suicide. A conspirator to murder removes that virtual agency over his or her own life from the victim. Two very different things.

What about a woman telling a suicidal incel she doesn't want to hang out with him anymore? If the incel proceeds to take his own life, is she responsible for anything? No. Her words obviously have impact, but they are not responsible for the act.

OP is trying to be tough, eh? I left out maybe 5 more of these where he was saying how he wasn't sure if he wanted to. She kept telling him to do it.
