George Lucas is back for the next star wars films

So three weeks ago, there was an article that said Lucasfilm wants George Lucas back to oversee the movies and content

LMAO, it's too late. My expectations are low for Lucas now too.


But I hope he can fix the damage. Srs. I used to be the biggest fan until TFA came out, then it just ruined it for me.

I don't think he can do any better. He pretty much dropped the ball on the prequels. People tend to forget this ******* is also responsible for Jar Jar Binks.

Kathleen Kennedy should be given the boot and Jon Favreau should be running LucasFilm. His Mandalorian show got everything right that nu-Wars got wrong

He could do an Old republic series, because he understands how that would be. he could also do the thing where the Jedi who escaped the purge are training new grey jedi on the down low.

Also, Ahsoka and Shaak Ti are still alive, so there.

Yeah I watched EP1 as an adult and could NOT stand him. The whole script was trash tbh.

The prequels had elements that were ten times better than the originals, and elements that were a million times worse. Jar Jar binks was fukking terrible. It wasn't TLJ terrible but it was bad.

He can do great things in a team...

The origin story of Darth Vader IMO is far far worse than the Kylo Ren story told over the last trilogy.

I think George Lucas will be heavily constrained with all the PC bullchit and SJW issues. He won't have much room for creativity or independent decision making.

He can do great things in a team...
He could... once upon a time. During the originals he wasn't a megastar & had producers & others on set reigning him in- he only actuallydirectedONE of the OG trilogy. Because back then he could accept that he wasn't actually a great director- just a guy with some incredible ideas & visions who needed some help turning them into a cool movie.

Budget contraints actually stopped some of his dumber ideas & forced much of the creativity in A New Hope. He disappeared up his own ass with CGI & endless money imo.

Lucas' ego & status would ensure he can't be held back from his dumber ideas anymore. He's done. Put in Favreau or Nolan. Srs. Lucas will create garbage again.

The golden rule of scu/fi fantasy is NEVER EXPLAIN. Lucas has forgotten that rule. Midochloirans alone should see him banned for life. Read his "suggestion" for 7-9 script if you need reminding the guy is done.

Compare the amount of time EXPLAINING time travel etc in T1 & T2 (awesome) vs the ****ty sequels (constant explaining/justifying). GOT NEVER EXPLAINS the Red Woman.s powers, the Night Kings methods, precisely what The Mountain became etc. A hint is enough, like the Force in A New Hope.

Explanation is the death of fantasy.
