How do I get good at selling life insurance?

I think I might have gotten this job as a financial advisor for a reputed bank . Still got the final interview to go which should be fine.

So could anyone help me out to be a better sales person

You going to work at a bank that sells life insurance? I tried it with a life insurance company, but it ended up being kind of one those pyramid scheme deals, so as soon as they paid for some licensing I wanted I bailed out.

Chit sucks, especially if you are cold calling potential clients
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

dude my mom's friend's son does that and he makes 10-12k a month. He has so much people under his name and they are trying to get my mom to become a life insurance as her part time job. They even got my whole family to get life insurance with them. Is this kinda job easy?

If you have that gift of salesmanship it is not a bad way to go, especially if you believe in the product you are selling. The company was solid and the people I worked with were great but I just got tired of spending the hours of my off time getting chit done only to have the customer flake out or just get rejected entirely.
Some of the people I worked with were making a killing though
You would be surprised just how much time I have to waste.

If you're not an awkward ass person especially not over the phone then this could be for you.

Sales is about connections & referrals. Stick with it long enough and know your product well and you should be fine.

Is this Northwest Mutual? They are pretty scammy (will force you to sell to your family and close friends). If that's the case, be VERY sure you want to enter this business.

I got a lot better at connecting with people and interacting with them. Problem is life insurance is kind of a boring ass topic so most people are gonna go glassy eyed on you in 10 minutes or less

Call up a successful salesman and ask him for 15 minutes on the phone to tell you about the business and see if it's right for you.

They did ask me for a very small fee to write an exam that license's me one. Fairly easy

Also say you know a very good cleaning service and make that your side gig.

There were only two I needed. One that dealt with Life Insurance and another for something else entirely that really had nothing to do with the insurance. I forget what the insurance one was actually called because I left a few years ago and I let it lapse since it is not required in what I currently do.

It is an easy as fuk exam. If you dont mind saying, what state are you in?

You just answered your own question.

It's exactly easy for the type of person your mom's friend's son is.

Know's a lot of people/connected, is a go-getter and gets out there trying to recruit people.

If you are that type of person, you'll do well. Most are not, and do the bare minimum, and do not do well and quickly look for another job. (I know many who've done this)

The one's who do well and make it into a career, branch out into other types of insurance.

how old are you? i'm not sure a 30-60 something year old will want to buy anything financially related from a 25 year old.
