Its crazy how media ages so quickly

I was watching gangs of new york and i remember it looking so nice
but while i was watching it i noticed the film quality looks old af ,which is weird because its not that old of a film
( im not talking about the films time period)



also with games im blown away by the graphics and cant believe they can improve
but then a new AAA game (expect Halo ) comes and mogs the **** out of previous AAA games

Scorsese always tries to use film cameras whenever he can (there have been low light situation like in the film Silence where he couldn't, so he had to use digital). That might be part of the reason why.

I prefer the way film cameras vs digital cameras look. I would only take photos with a film camera, if it didn't create a black hole in my bank account. Film emulation software is pretty good though.

I think more people are getting used to the digital camera look, and Gen Z have grown up on it. So they love the high detail look of digital (though they hate the way it makes skin look, hence the heavy use of photoshop and filters).
