That was the alleged reason why you were seeing vids of people flopping over in the streets in China in Jan/Feb. But it's not happening here, someone's lying, and I suspect it's the China/Dem camp.

I don't get why it isn't blowing up more as a story. If there is a treatment already in existence than can keep your lungs from "filling up with stuff like Jello" that seems like a big deal to me.

I thought the idea was to slow the spread of the virus to avoid overwhelming healthcare AND give us time to come up with a treatment/vaccine.

This screams TREATMENTS to me, but the only thing in the media is vaccines.

ETA: Little paranoid thought this morning- one poster in my other thread says this was known a long time ago, but I didn't hear a peep and I've been actively scanning for information.

Have to wonder if after the election we suddenly "discover" this theory and treatment so the virus hysteria drops away.

I know the US isn't everything. So maybe other countries are working on this idea; IDK.

There have been strange symptoms here in Austria (not only in China as a poster suggested). An Austrian doctor e.g. reported a young, perfectly healthy woman with very mild symtoms at first who ended up getting her hand amputated.

No, I'm pointing out this article is written in such a way as to imply that because they used the ORNL supercomputer their hypothesis is more valid that some other one. And the article also keeps calling the hypothesis a theory...just sounds like sensationalist pseudo-journalism, gotta get this out NOW before it can be tested and verified.

Yes, it is a theory. It is a theory that seems to fit with what is being reported about patients by the medical community.

Fair enough. I am not questioning the validity of this research at all, just the fact that it's way too convenient initial tests are being reported as some sort of truth before it even passes the smell test.

No, but whoever wrote the article needs to be shot in the head. You might be "overlooking imprecise language" but this isn't a sports article, it's about a scientific study. Precision is paramount.

Your article is basically talking about myocarditis. This isn't an unusual thing after any viral infection and is generally not very dangerous at all. There is also no reason to believe it's long-lasting, that's simply sensationalism.
The same goes for the "long-lasting lung damage". That was a headline based on statements from chinese doctors saying there was lung damage. Of course the media didn't include the part where they said you could train your lung-capacity back up with cardio. Nor the fact that pneumonia cause lung damage in general.

This whole thing is a chit show and a joke. They like to claim it isnt political and we should "follow the science" but you cant separate politics when you have laws and executive orders made, tax payer money spent ect.

Then you get selective covering in the news and censorship over what news is allowed to be on social media. Like some retarded contracted out mod at ******** is able to tell the validity of whatever latest medical claim is made on COVID.

The article is saying bradykinin is causing the covid-19 complications. Bradykinin is an inflammatory peptide already known for causing sore throat and general common cold symptoms.https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3345041/Bradykinin also gets induced when you have, you guessed it, other coronaviruses or rhinoviruses.

I guess that means they are saying we should treat covid-19 the same way we treat the common cold, which I would actually wholeheartedly agree with.
