Progress Log

going to document my training log and nutrition here. Gonna run a kinobody program lol. I have all of em, but I’m leaning towards his new one. Should be fun and I can use this log for accountability. I start tomorrow. Today I’m being lazy and eating whatever I want.

Why? I’m pretty strong (at least I think I am) and he’s got plenty of people on his programs who get great results. My problem is mostly nutrition though so I need to get consistent with that

Anyways thanks for the comment. I’ll post up pics and even videos and all eventually

He's a massive tool though. I have some doubt in his programs but just that they aren't worth whatever he charges.

From what I've heard/seen, he's pretty cookie-cutter, and he doesn't strike me as a serious lifter or someone who actually thinks too hard about programming.

Don't actually know is programs (beyond that he has some "hollywood-physique" -slanted SS knockoff) though, so in for answers I guess.

It’s a low volume high intensity program. You gotta know how to push yourself hard on each set. He focuses heavily on upper body and not so much legs, but his new program does include more leg training. I’ll post here starting tomorrow you will see the actual workouts

He has a section that tells you on how to set up your nutrition and everything. He actually does have some good nutrition advice. It’s actually pretty much what’s recommended on the nutrition forum on this website

Starting weight 194.2 fukkk feel bloated and fat. Today we start. 1900 calories. I used the rippedbody calculator to get that number. I’m debating whether I’m gonna lift today or not. If I’d do not lift I’ll go for a 40 min LISS session.

that home gym life though man feels good doesnt it?

just gonna throw some ideas at you so you can throw other stuff in the mix. i ve been making bench press gains lately and these two things have been key:

Floor presses - do not under rate these. do these maybe on your shoulder press day or something. After a few weeks of doing these and making progress, your bench will benefit.
Incline press - nice on the 210 x 5. Since incline bench isnt a "powerlifting" lift i d recommend doing this instead: control the negative a tad more and do a pause at the chest for about 2seconds (of couse still stay tight/keep pushing up on the bar on the pause dont relax) then explode up

Thanks brah. I’m mainly lifting for aesthetics right now. I’m following the kinobody program (lol). Seems to be working really well. I do like the idea of the floor press and paused incline. I’ll definitely consider swapping floor press for the close grip bench at some point.

I’m curious to see if my bench improves in any way. When I hit a 270 bench my max incline was like 215-220 lol. We shall see

ok i agree then at the very least throw in floor presses on a shoulder press day. i ve seen great progress from this. Once you get used to floor pressing and make some gains on your floor press, your bench SHOULD go up, of course everyone is different. try it, for sure rotate out those close grips and do floor press.

Found one of Greg’s older programs which has a bit more frequency/less volume compared to what I was doing. Arms will be hit Monday and Friday. Weighted dips will be on the menu Friday’s. Can’t wait.

Great workout today. 225x5 bench after 3 sets of incline made me super happy. My best all time flat bench was 225x6 fresh.

Also I need to put more effort into diet as weekends I’m completely ducking myself over. Time to focus

Lol thanks. Keep in mind the curls are loose form. Majority of my biceps gains will come from getting stronger on the chin-up.

That 155 curl killed me lol. Kinda feel it in my low back. Gotta be a little careful next time.
