I love that book, one of my all time favourites. Sucks that Whoopi Goldberg is in it, but will definitely check it out. Hopefully it does the book justice, unlike the chitty Dark Tower movie. The 90's series was ok.

Book was one of my favourites of all time. Amazing writing. But that trailer looks like they gloss over the people coming together and just rush straight to the good versus evil. Hoping that's not the case. Not 100% on the casting either, Stu should be older than that guy for sure.

I watched The Stand as a kid and loved the apocalypse starting. Thats the whole point of watching this stuff - to see the end of days. I wasn't going to watch this anyway and the author is a fukin soy lord these days.

Isn’t Amber Heard in it? Whoopi and Amber Turd? No thank you.

I feel like Steven King books to movies are either god tier or completely chit tier.
Misery, Stand by Me, Shawshank, Green Mile, The Shining. All of them 10/10.
Dark Tower, Carrie remake with Chloe (sry pwally), Pet Semetary, and all the B-class horror movies from his novellas and short stories. 0/10 not even worth talking about.
This one looks like the latter.

Watched the original ABC miniseries quite a few times. Really hoping they don't butcher the remake. Can't say I am a huge fan of the cast, but I figured they would ruin IT with the remake and they came through. Cautiously optimistic. Won't forgive them if they screw it up.
May have to listen to Anthrax "Among The Living" to get psyched up for it.
