Reddit can be fantastic or terrible it completely depends on the sub.

I stick purely to niche interests and career related subs and its great. Never bother with any news/political ones.

I think that the misc judges reddit based on 5-10 years ago, and it's political leaning. Srs.

I also think that many don't realize that there are a lot of different subreddits. IME the layout requires a learning curve, I still dislike it.

(Note: I don't use reddit, unless I do a websearch and a topic comes up that I'm interested in learning about, those dudes are a good source of info.)

The layout doesn't require a learning curve at all, hence why every moron uses it. Look at older forums like chans, they require more of a 'learning curve'.

Maybe people don't want to use a site, and therefore give it traffic and revenue, that shuts down the 'lot of different subreddits' because they don't like their narrative. Perhaps encouraging further 'centralisation' of discussion isn't what people here want.

Getting the masses to make a 'subreddit' on a platform that can be controlled is exactly what THEY want. Just look at what they accomplished with YouTube. And then the idiots complain when they get shutdown and are surprised there are no substantial alternative platforms of expression anymore.

Reddit 5-10 years ago was better because there was little to no censorship. It wasn't until Trump was President when they started leaning left and banning right leaning subs although they banned one leftist sub (Chapo Trap House)

I should have said for me it did, but maybe learning curve is the wrong word... It took me a while to get comfortable with it. I didn't like that it threw a bunch of videos, text, and photos in my face, and auto signed me up to subreddits. I was used to bbforum like the misc growing up, reddit was completely different.

It has always been left leaning, but they use to allow any type of subreddits on there, in other words, they did not censor people. But now they ban subreddits which is why they banned The Donald. That's pretty much my point. It's harder to find these non-left leaning subs and not to mention there are plenty of losers who stalk your post history and discredit you if they find out you post on conservative or right leaning subs.

I’ve been married for almost 18yrs to my best friend, loyal, sexy and submissive. Not once have I ever had a reason to not trust her.

That being said marriage is still very hard to make last. Especially when kids are in the picture. That’s why I yell every guy I know to try to stay married close to 10 yrs before having children.
