Some of you will know right off the bat. Just post your guess if you don't know.

alright that explains the scale, so those center segments slide with the knob turning.. definitely a micrometer-type measurement tool. top part for round things, bottom for square things i have to assume. what round and square things, i have no clue and i have no clue what that external screw does either

think its just angled so that round objects self-center while measuring for accuracy's sake. if it was flat the sliding part could slightly cant on an angle and throw off the measurement

Something that measures force?? Or just some random pieces put together 🤷‍♂️

yeah i'm at a loss now. like you said the scale can barely do oversquare, mostly undersquare and now that i think about the top side it's the same problem, it's about maxed out for a round object in current setting but there's a ton more scale left. a bigger round cross-section would never fit inside the device

oh. not a gun guy. that totally makes sense though, you're filling the cavity, not actually measuring a solid object

interesting

It's a Universal Charge Bar. The 2 cavities measure out a specific volume of shotgun pellets and gunpowder. You have to calibrate the volume with a scale. The dials on the end are used to change the volume to what you want for the specific weight. The bolt in the center keeps it in place as you slide it left and right.

Still renting to oil dudes and tradies. Had 73 guys in all my places last January. Then things went downhill starting in February. By May I just had 2 tenants. I'm back to about 40% occupancy now.

But there is going to be construction work in Coffeyville Kansas in early 2021. The refinery is building a new maintenance shop, warehouse and administration building. They are also going to construct 3 new crude refining/processing units. It's going to take 3-5 years. Lots of work for travelling welders, fitters, electricians, ironworkers and instrumentation. I've got 23 furnished houses for rent.
