Anyone dealt with herpes before? Need misc advice (srs)

A girl I'm seeing has just dropped this bombshell on me.

Not too sure what to do and I don't want to ask anyone IRL.

She is definitely not a sloot, very trustworthy and doesn't sleep around. Apparently her ex gave it to her and didn't realize he had it...

She is happy to go ahead, and says she hasn't had an outbreak in 6 months. I feel like I would be running the gauntlet if we do it, even if it is a 1/1000 chance of it happening.

Is it an immediate deal breaker for you guys? She is a pretty great chick apart from that, environmental lawyer on 300k/year advising federal ministers. Might be a long term prospect...but this is a bit of an issue.

I'm just heading out now but will check thread later on.

This is what made me hate being single. Happened twice to me, like WTF.

Never got it, but was always the worst week of my life waiting on results to come back.

I ended it with em. The one I was seeing for like a month until she told me, I was pretty pissed.

Not a big deal it’s basically just a pimple/rash. It’s very common nowadays some people have one breakout and never have another one again. With today’s medicine it can also be controlled much better. If you really like her I’d say do it.
