People in Hawaii are lazy as fuk

Srsly never came across such worthless fukery.

Job posters even post they only hire people from the mainland, just lol.

It's good the USA took over this place, without some management this would be a 3rd world ****hole.

Aren't Puerto Ricans too? I remember all that endless whining (part of it was probably due to corrupt politicians too) during that last flood or whatever it seemed like they wanted everything done for them.

It's a great place don't get me wrong, but it must be hell trying to run a business here, only hire whites and japanese/Koreans and you'll be ok. But the rest here are generally just coasters.

It's also a liberal hell corruption beyond reasoning.

But this weather is faking epic. It's beautiful

I don't think it's that, that's just cope for being lazy.

It's more like some lazy native American cultures that wallow in self pity because the "white man" stole everything. Or the lazy jogger mentality of but we was slaves. Or like 3rd world places have the don't be try hard because people will think you think your better than everyone else.

Srsly it's just lazy let someone else do it mentality.

In general, people don't really learn work ethic when they live in a place where they could easily sleep outside every night and eat fruit from trees to survive.

A good comparison of this is the cities of Rio and Sao Paulo in Brazil. In Rio, people don't do chit. Just going to the beach, bumming out. Plenty of poor people make money selling things. In Sao Paulo, there's no beach and it rains every day. There's literally nothing better to do than finding a job and working.

I can see that perspective but i think its pretty "lazy" to cast such a wide net as well. My father's side is all on Oahu. I really think "lazy" is all relative so it would serve the conversation better to give context into what you are talking about. When I come from the mainland to the islands to visit, there is definitely a much slower pace. But there is also a slower pace when I go from Texas to New Yok.

Do some of the people have animosity towards the "white man"? 100% yes.....I see and feel it. Does it serve them well? No......they cant change what has happened so they need to keep it moving forward. I have met some Hawaiians with incredible work ethic and heart. So its just tough when you cast that net and call all of them "lazy".

My ancestors simply ate the intruders. But then the liberals wanted to be all non-violent. We welcomed the white man and now they call us lazy.

Hawaiians hating white people is basically the same as any local hating tourist in a tourist area.

Hawaiians being lazy is because they are living their best life. Who the fuk is anyone else to come by and say you *******s are lazy all you do is sleep when you want, wake up when you want, go to work when you want, leave work when you want etcโ€ฆ

Thatโ€™s most miscers dream. Alpha AF. And they live their life like that in Hawaii and die.

Just need to clean up the drug/youth violence issues tbh.

Wasn't the most popular decision back in the day to let Hawaii become a state. Wasn't even really popular there either. There was a time where people felt the point of the US was to expand and take on more states. Cuba, Porto Rico, Phillipines, even Japan itself there was a goal of making them states of the US.

They probably would lol at the thought of some Midwestern lawyer working 60-70 hour weeks for his McMansion and zero hobbies

Will say that Honolulu is an absolute chit hole , but the other islands are beautiful. If you live somewhere like the big island or Maui then what incentive do you have to work hard? You got it made and they donโ€™t care about material stuff as much

It's not all but it's a large percentage. Yes there are some really great hardworking individuals. But it's not like the mainland. It's hard to even teach people in their jobs because they just don't have ambitions of working. It's just put in my time with as little effort as I can. Get away with.

Years of worthless hippies moving to the islands have ruined it.

It's in their culture. They've already made it. People all around the world work so they can retire and vacation in place like Hawaii. If you're already there, what incentive do you have?

Sometimes I've learned how to use their laziness to my advantage.

Like you don't want to make things too easy for them , if they have to work for it they won't do it. So you can use that to your advantage.

An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The Mexican replied, โ€œonly a little while. The American then asked why didnโ€™t he stay out longer and catch more fish? The Mexican said he had enough to support his familyโ€™s immediate needs. The American then asked, โ€œbut what do you do with the rest of your time?โ€

The Mexican fisherman said, โ€œI sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.โ€ The American scoffed, โ€œI am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat. With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor, eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing, and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.โ€

The Mexican fisherman asked, โ€œBut, how long will this all take?โ€

To which the American replied, โ€œ15 โ€“ 20 years.โ€

โ€œBut what then?โ€ Asked the Mexican.

The American laughed and said, โ€œThatโ€™s the best part. When the time is right you would announce an IPO and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions!โ€

โ€œMillions โ€“ then what?โ€

The American said, โ€œThen you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos.โ€

Good one. But how much wealth and jobs did the American generate? How much people did the American feed vs the Mexican?

No that's not it. People in Hawaii are just lazy at work. Like actually lazy as fuk. They would get fired on the mainland but there is no one else here. You can't hire people here to work for you unless it's a golden goose tourist trap.
