The Orville

Kind of funny that even in make-believe fantasy land 400 years into the future, the one black family is a single mother without a father figure present.

And the kids are hoodlums.

I mean even liberal Hollywood isn't even hiding it. How bizarre.

Tyra from FNL would get it every day of the week for sure.

It's crazy to me how well seth rogan does a star trek show, he was a big trekkie since back in the day and had a guest spot once.



I'd say give him the keys to the franchise but I don't think he'd be able to resist making a fart joke somewhere along the line.

Still it'd be better than the current trash.

I was honestly the same, it's why I've only just started watching it recently after putting it off for so long.

The hotness of Tyra really does make up for how annoying I find him.

And once some of the characters start growing on you, they get progressively funnier. Not laugh out laugh and consistently funny but that's not what it's going for.

The comedy gets less as the show goes on and he realize people less want a star trek parody and more a homage, he leans into that.

Ah right that makes sense, I do actually find it funnier now that the jokes/short sharp answers from a couple of crew members are well timed and not overdone.

While it's tempting to feed into that type of tribalism, I don't let it dictate how I judge injustices and crime committed by any demographic. However I will admit the disappointment is much heavier when I see it's my own, so you can imagine how often I feel that disappointment.
