You wont start **** OP. You are the type of person to talk about his bull**** plans all the time yet never ever actually start them. If you wanted to do it you would fukin do it regardless if people think its weird or not.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I started at 29 (Muay Thai). Had two fights already. Definitely not old at all. Average ages appear to be 25-35, don’t expect to be in the UFC or anything like that though fella (unless you are some 0.1% outlier with insane skill set or something lol). Plenty of local, national, international leagues you can compete in though (if you want to of course). Go fkin do it.

My main sparring partner is a ex world competitor, he’s mid 40s. Guy is a absolute beast. I wouldn’t care too much about age mate

If you have dreams of going pro you better get in there and train every single day and get fighting asap.

If you want to grow then you need to confront your fears. It will spread into other parts of your life and personality and others will see it.

No. 26 is still relatively young. Men don’t even hit their athletic prime until 28-32.

It is too late to become a world class professional unless you’re some genetic freak (you’re not) but anything short of that is fair game.

If you’re going to do that you have to realize that it will cost some money, take some time, and you will have to stay two steps ahead of injury,

The worst thing about people who do serious martial arts like MMA, grappling, boxing, is that they all get hurt all the time, which is incredibly stupid and defeats the whole purpose, your purpose is not to get hurt, the whole point of learning martial arts is to make sure that you do not get hurt in the unlikely event you’re ever attacked physically, getting hurt in training is absolutely the dumbest thing you can do.

Go slow and light the first two years, I’m serious, when you think that you’re ready to take a throw or grapple with someone from a standing position, realize that you’re making a very serious mistake, your rolling partner will land on your ribs and you will hear a crack… The rest of your life will change from that moment on, and not for the better,

or when you practice your roundhouse kicks you may start feeling some pain in your knee, from repeated rotating during the kick, instead of stopping most people will continue, temporary mild discomfort in the knee Will turn permanent, this happens to 99% of people who study martial arts with any degree of seriousness, I’m sorry but this is ****ing stupid, you need to take a lot of time for your body and your brain to get adjusted and hardened for combat.

It’s like with lifting, anything that involves lower back you must not only use perfect form but you must, and I mean absolutely must, leave at least two good form unassisted reps in the tank, when you know 100% that you could do two more squats with perfect form without a spotter that’s when you ****ing stop your set! Otherwise you’re going to be making threads about how you hurt your lower back lifting.

And of course remember to be humble, remember that you are by far the weakest and most fragile person in your gym, show respect, and no matter how talented you are or how good you get never use this to gain confidence or to get into a street fight, you never know what somebody has as far as skills or perhaps a knife, a gun, or a bunch of friends. Avoid fights. And Be kind to your sparring partners. After training grab a mop and participate in the cleaning of the mats, say hello to everybody you see in the gym.

You’ll be amazed how far you can get with a respectful attitude, if it’s a real MMA gym they will let you train with the pros, take any classes and training sessions for free, and so on because they know you’re a good person. the moment you think that you’re some hot **** they may elect to put you in your place, meaning spar a bit too aggressively with you, and you don’t want that.

Yeah but he started boxing at 22 and was street fighting before that. He’s in the top .5% of genetics to be able to develop elite competitive combat skills in his 20s. Rocky Marciano started boxing at 23, so these freaks exist, but the overwhelming majority of professional fighters start training in their teens or even younger. OP shouldn’t ever expect to compete in the UFC.

seriously doubt that francis has a boxing background. he can't box for chit. zero boxing footwork.

he just lunges wildly and depends on pure power.

no, it's never too late

find a martial art that you like (use videos to see how it looks like it) and stick to it (dead srs)

doing martial arts as a man is life saving.

some pro boxers started after 25 and were very successful (Dwight Muhammad, Jess Willard, Ron Lyle)
