Me at 28 vs Me at 41. Never lay down and rot boyos - keep that fire burning

Photo on the right was taken last week.

Think I was perpetually 190 lbs back then (at 5'10). Weighed in at 149 lbs last week.

Holy smokes I would never want to go back to being in my 20s again. I've done like 6 threads on the misc about hair transplants since 2014 so no need to retread that here.

Mirin, you'd probably look like your 60s if you let yourself rot till now.

Love your transformation and story boyo. That makes friends thread was super inspiring, but I can’t find it now.

I’m getting double jaw surgery next year, and need a couple more transplants.

I do a LOT of walking every day in addition to my cardio-dedicated day. Also I've been on a paleo/keto kick for like two years, with about 95% of my meals during that period being home-cooked.

Believe me, I flipped out too the first time I stepped on the scale and saw 149 lbs. I'm going to Cancun next month so gonna shoot for 145 lbs....and hopefully not die. Will get more carbs on me after that

I admit I get a lot of steps in every day, in addition to my dedicated cardio day. So lots of walking. Also, most of my meals are home-made. I'm big on using "substitute vegetables" for normal carbs (ie, zucchini noodles rather than spaghetti, or cauliflower rice rather than normal rice, that sort of thing). So basically every meal is meat+vegetables, with rare carb inclusion (that's not in fruits & veggies).

For routine, I do a 3-day splt, twice a week. Sometimes no rest day, depending.

Day 1: Typical barbell compound lifts (squat, deads, bench, rows) + chin-ups and calf raises
Day 2: Shoulders. JUST SHOULDERS. Like 6 different lifts (3 sets of 5) targeting different parts of delts/lats
Day 3: Cardio

mirin shoulders. brosplit brahs had it right with shoulders, a lot of guys can benefit from having a shoulder day. It's the only way to get capped delts as a natty imo, a chit ton of isolation volume (im assuming you're natty since you care about your hair)

Wearing hair over your hairline seems like a good move for hair transplants to hide unnatural strange ogre look.

Do you feel good?

I also do shoulders as 50% of my lifts. Lateral raises are gold.

Haha I got you fam. That thread is a blast from the past - for context, it was during a weird phase of the misc where like 40% of the threads were about loneliness - I think some other forum had shut down, and a lot of people migrated to the misc and pushed the term "FA" or "Forever Alone" over and over and over. I had gone through some lonely periods in my youth and had some observations that I wanted to share with one of the guys who had made such a thread. He told me I should write a dedicated thread summarizing everything I was telling him. Hopefully it helped some people. At the very least, we had fewer loneliness and FA threads.

Thinking about settling down soon?
I became a remote worker and have been traveling through Mexico for the past 4 months. Tinder/Bumble like crazy - been dating plenty. Only 18 to 22 year olds (srs). Most of them think I'm 26 at first, but I always tell them my actual age - it's not that big a deal in their culture.

As for settling down. I dunno man - my parents had a really rough marriage and I would need to find someone with very charitable qualities for me to put a ring on it. Being in a relationship where you WISH you were alone is a fate I wouldn't wish on anyone. But at the moment, just traveling & chilling. Taking girls from the barrio on wine dates only to find out they never had wine before.

There's always some nuggets of wisdom to learn from the Misc. The notion of doing a 3 day split, but one of those days being for blasting shoulders, is something that came from the Aesthetics Crew here on the forum.

Yeah of course I'm natty, but I don't need to worry about my hair. Every follicle on top (as opposed to the "horseshoe" area that bald guys retain) is a transplanted hair at this point, and those can never all out regardless of my test levels.

Gj op but you messed up a wicked thread idea. Should have posted the photos in reverse and made miscers feel the abs pic was you in your 20s. Then after all the comments about your tour being over you would blow minds when you revealed the twist.

No hair drugs anymore. I used to take fin (0.25mg a day every other day), but at this point there's no reason to. Every follicle on the top of my head is a transplant hair, which won't ever fall out.
