Keep getting scammed by a job i had (wut do?)
Last thread about it
https://forum.obnoxiousbrutes.com/showt...hp?t=181976323
Cliffs of last thread:
-got accepted to a SWE junior position
-first 20 days are a company course, after those 20 days they tell you if you passed and if yes you get your project and location of work..
-i passed, but got a location which is super far from me (2:30 commute each direction), even tho in the intreview we agreed on a project nearby. i declined and they told me bye..
So anyway. in the contact it said, they pay minimum wage for the 20 days course, but those that pass will get the regular salary (around 3.5Xminimum wage) retroactively from day one. So basicly if you pass you get the regular salary, and those that failed the course will not.
From the contact:
"If the employee successfully pass the training his salary will retroactively be updated to the regular salary from the first day of the course"
(non-english contract, i translated.)
Anyway - i passed. then we all got a UTO for a few days untill we begin. in those few days we tried to find a solution to my location and in the end it didnt work and i quitted/they fired me, idk.
Today i saw i got paid for those 20 days by minimum wage,,, wtf? i passed the course. 100%. i got proofs.
talked to them and they said they will check it but the girl that answered told me they dont think i should get the regular salary for those days.. wtf?
Should i sue over something like that? its a few $K's different. i want and need the money, and honestly i still hate this company for pulling the BS They did with the location. and now they try to steal.

You said you had to translate the contract, What country is this company situated in?
In Canada for instance, It would be 2 YEARS before a case was heard in small claims court. And that’s if it was to even get to that stage.
You would almost certainly need a lawyer, And a good one, No lawyer worth putting into a ring will do it for $3,0000.00 what you are essentially trying to cover.
The only upside, If the company is big enough, They may just pay you, So you will Piss off..
