Just Failed 315x3 Bench WTF!? (Video)

I did it EASY 1 or 2 weeks ago on a THIRD set and it moved like piss

I’m fresh AF today and I can’t do it?

I haven’t been training or dieting as I’ve been busy af but damn I didn’t expect a strength loss this significant

I then tried 130kg and it felt heavy too and I got it for less reps than ever lol. I was weak on squats yesterday too.

Fuark man I wish I filmed my set last week, I was moving it with absolute ease. Feelsbadman. Gonna take me ages to get back to that level

might just go home lol srs. I’m weak as piss on everything today. There’s been a huge strength drop

doing incline bench right now and a weight that I can usually lift for 10 reps feels extremely heavy. Fuark man. The day I choose to film I’m weak as piss

Fuark even 225 on incline feeling heavy, that chit is light as a mfer usually. Only getting it for difficult sets of 10

You should try to tighten your setup a bit...legs were loose. I believe that 3rd would have made it

Edit: Still stronger than me tho gjdm

yeah, honestly it sounds like a reach but if I can reach the strength that I had last week in the next 4 weeks I’ll have it for 5 pause reps next time

I have been pause db shoulder press 100lbs for reps too but couldn’t even get it up today lmao

that guy was a G

I was struggling to lock out and I saw him hovering over me for a few seconds (felt like 5 minutes at the time) and you can’t hear me but I said “I’m not gonna get it” lmao and then he helped.

he said he wasn’t sure if I was gonna get it but he did everything right, I shook his hand and said I appreciate that .

yeah you right, lost my tightness but the first rep threw me off. The 1st rep this week felt significantly heavier than my 3rd rep last week… I knew there and then it was over lol

I’m 99% sure I could have got 4-5 last week. I just wasn’t wanting to settle for 2, lol

Honestly by april I’ll be back. I’ll hit a 365 pause bench, that’s my word!

gonna happen, might need a deload week or try again next time

it's double compounded by the fact you went to failure, everything else is going to feel heavy and slow after that.

try doing sets not to failure

Lockout fails are the worst, esp on bench but its pretty minor in the grand scheme of things

thanks dawg.

Hopefully I’m back to 100% in 3-4 weeks, then I’ll upload a successful attempt.

A week is a pretty long time in terms of peaking and losing one rep is not that significant bro, youre over exaggerating it right now because every lifter ties some of their self worth to how they perform on a day and then you look for reasons etc but one rep lost in a week and without dieiting is minor. You could hypothetically go in in a few days and hit it for 4 reps under more optimal conditions
