So many people under 30 are on depression and anxiety meds.

What the hell is going on? I work in the medical field and many of the patients I see are on meds for depression and/or anxiety. Am I missing something as a 31 year old?

And they're proud of it.

Heard a zoomer proclaiming her 'diagnised anxiety disorder' in public yesterday.

Being a victim is so Hot right now.

There’s a feeling that there’s nothing to look ahead to that’s better or good
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

I think we're trying to remove "suffering" from the human experience. But not all suffering is bad. Suffering while studying to learn a new skill is a good suffering, Suffering with hunger trying to lose weight is a good suffering, Suffering through the pain of a crazy pump, or gasping for air while improving your physical health is good suffering. But to the soft world we live in "suffering" is suffering and a bad thing.

I made a thread about America's medicated children - 6 year olds on anti-depressants. Too brutal a black pill for some, though.

It's over diagnosed like crazy rather than dealing with root causes - parents who want to turn their children docile through medication.

I'd argue that this constitutes a crime against humanity here in the United States - it is that bad.

weak society. medication should be reserved for extreme cases. you dont need pills just because you have anxiety before a job interview. but since mr shekelstein is head of big pharma everybody is encouraged to have a ***** prescription.

That's the reality of the world at this point. As a kid, I learned to deal with problems and not be a little bitch but these days you get a script. I'm sure at least half of the people on anti-depressants just have sht lives or made too many bad decisions that made them sad but somehow think they have depression. Humans gonna human

I've come to believe that depression is likely the worst problem condition we have the US. It effects so many younger people and sadly the medical field has few helpful answers. The drugs tend to work all that great from what I've read and heard from others.

Remember reading this article about a lady who found her depression improved when she began spending more time outdoors.

Maybe getting away from sitting in front of computers for many hours would help many with depression.

I've had Panic disorder for over a decade and yes I've seen the rising trend. Some people get prescribed like 10x the amount I do just for General Anxiety. It's insane. I'm on the lowest dose possible but the girl in her 20s has to take xyz 3 times a day and another one pill once a day

One thing that many school shooters have in common is that there were on SSRI's..
