Why Do Threads Get Deleted?

I had a thread early this morning where another poster was starting to get belligerent, so I made my last comment and bowed out of the thread. Somebody repped me on it and I see it now says N/A. Just trying to figure out what threads mods don't like.

Wasn't a thread I started. Just made a few posts, saw that it was getting heated for no reason, and made my last post bidding my farewell to that thread. Then saw the N/A and made me wonder.
