Do you ever think racism is natural? (Srs) (controversial)
Think about animals
Animals dotn usually hang out with other animals they stick with each other
Usually they are weary when they encounter another animal
When you see someone who is of different ethnicity to you is it a natural response to be weary of them and not like them?
Racism is a natural response

go to any multiracial population in the USA whether it be a school, the military or prison; you will always find blacks hanging with blacks, whites with whites, latinos with latinos, and even asians with asians. Always happens naturally as well.
Normal People will automatically feel more empathy for someone who shares their own features than someone of a different ethnic group or race.

Like attracts like. You associate with who you share things in common. People you can relate to. I think there is a big difference between just not being comfortable with those not like you and hating them. It takes a lot to see things beyond the surface.

Nope. It is taught. People would notice they were different from each other, but wouldn't care.

Of course it is.
How do you think Families became tribes, that became communities that became nations?
Your family, tribe would develop safeguards to protect their kin and ensure their survival and future survival which in turn would manifest to being traditions or cultural norms.
People only really mixed due to slavery, war/invasion or trade.

Not exactly racism by today's standards - as in a seriously negative predisposition towards a person based solely on their race. While infants do demonstrate preference for faces of their race by 3 months I contend that racism is due to cultural collision/incompatibility. If we could somehow eliminate all separate cultures and reset people without the trappings of respective cultural bullchit and indoctrination (except for the food) racism would likely be reduced dramatically across the board.

What a stupid question
Do animals gravitate to those that look, think and act like them
Or
Do they want to be around those that are completely alien to them
Why do you think immigrants in new countries always stick to areas with similar immigrants

Absolutely. Anybody who denies it is lying to themselves. Don’t like the animals analogy? Take a look at humanity dating back to the beginning of time. Tribes oF people killing each other for being in different tribes, religious groups killing each other for believing in a different version of the Bible, etc. It’s engrained in human DNA. People that act on these types of things and can’t congregate peacefully with different people are psychos, but to say that it is not natural is pure cope.

Is this the study you are referring to?
This study concluded that no racial preference is apparent at birth, but is learned within the first 3 months (based on a sample of infants with little to no exposure to people outside their own race).
I'm no so sure that your in-group is as concrete as pigmentation.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I'd like to see a study comparing infants 3+months with little to no exposure, some exposure, and routine exposure.

I'd like to see that study too barring the logistical and ethical challenges of actually trying to run such a study.
