Can somebody walk me through undervolting my cpu (13700kf, ASUS mob)

Thanks to Baldurs gate 3 being rated so well, I bought a 4090

But my old mobo didn’t have pcie4.0 lanes let alone 5.0 so I got a new motherboard

But my new mobo doesn’t support my old cpu

So I got a new cpu and ended up just getting a full new build

The ASUS auto ai overclocking features enabled by default are pretty overkill imo and make the cpu take way more power than necessary for very marginal gains. I’d like to undervolt my cpu 3-5% for hopefully some pretty substantial temp improvements (88c peak during stress tests, which I know is tolerable but I’d rather just never go above 80c)

I looked at a few YouTube videos on how to modify the ASUS bios for undervolting but every single person enabled/disabled different settings so I’m honestly not sure which one is right and don’t have much confidence in any of them. Maybe they all work. Idk. Ive never overclocked or undervolted anything before so the entire process is intimidating

So. Can here somebody walk me through it?

What kind of cooling solution are you using to have an 88C peak stress with a 13700?

Noctua NH-D15

- i don't want an aio because pump noise is very irritating and i have yet to find one that's actually silent
- I read online that 88 is normal for this card, but too toasty for me

My 13700k has a 240mm aio and stays around 58c. I didn't change settings but just turned on cpu boost in bios. It's fine and boosts to 5.4ghz all the time. I use an optane pcie drive as a L2 cache, and I use 70gb of my ram as L1 cache. It's all good in the hood.

Nope. My monitor is 100hz not 144hz. Acer x34

I’ll upgrade to an lg c2-4 eventually just to double as a tv in the master but I’m happy with the x34
