Buttermilk is far more economical, even more benifits , kefir is just cashing in on the fad....
unless you buy the real legit goat milk kefir its not the same....look for the redwood farms goat milk kefir thats the legit stuff.

Only if it's raw milk kefir.
Any dairy product that is not raw milk based is awful for you. It's fine once in a while, but if you consume dairy daily, always ingest raw based dairy. Never pasteurized.
There's a reason why so many people are lactose intolerant now. Pasteurization destroys the digestive enzymes in milk and all of the good bacteria. Leave a gallon of raw milk out and it just turns into different forms for consumption. Leave pasteurized milk out and it'll be green and blue after a few weeks with bad bacterial growth.

You realize those are two different things with two different functions, right? Probiotics just help influence the gut microbiome to be healthier/better. That's it.

I drink about 4L per week, I think it’s one of the best things for you. Easy to digest, plenty of protein, probiotics.

I recently started drinking raw milk kefir. And I mainly started drinking it because there were studies that said a certain strain of probiotics that's found in kefir, increased the testicular size and testosterone level of rats that consumed them. There hasn't been any studies on humans so I have to experiment on myself. I have normal testosterone levels but I'm trying to do an experiment to see how high I can get them naturally. So I've been drinking a glass of kefir a day, doing semen retention, having a diet high in fats and cholesterol, and taking a supplement that contains tongkat ali, ashwaganda, and a couple other ingredients I forgot the name of. I just want to do this for 1 or 2 months and see if I feel any different. I'll also try and get blood work done to see my levels but that's going to be hard because of my work schedule.

Oh another think I forgot to add, the kefir I'm drinking is called golden milk because it's mixed with turmeric and ginger, and cinnamon. Even though it kinda taste like mustard and not as good as the vanilla version, I'm going to primarily drink that because of the extra health benefits of turmeric and ginger.
