Old Billionaires Envy You Kids
Luke Belmar 👽 @lukebelmar
I’ve spoke to 7 billionaires in my life.
6/7 said they would trade places with me and give up all their money if they could redo another 30 years of young age with little worry.
Billionaires envy you… you just don’t know it yet. Use the gift of time wisely.

Said it before and I'll say it again: I would live forever, and pay a lot to do so.
Alas, no Wallace exists yet. And when they do, get ready for the wars.

Dave Chapelle said something like this:
"Half the world's population lives on less than $1 a day, and yet half of those people are happy. I know 8 billionaires, and not one of them is happy".

I just watched that blue zones documentary on Netflix (twice) and read two of that guys books.
Imagine being 100 years old and still hearding cattle, chopping wood, cooking meals, etc.
Yeah the people live in a plywood hut, but I'd take that life ALL DAY if it meant perfect health for 100 years.

Don't be the richest guy in the graveyard -
At the heart of deferred gratification lies a powerful strategy for financial success. It involves the willingness to sacrifice immediate pleasures and consumption in favor of strategic investments that yield growth over time.
Munger paints this picture with a colorful metaphor. "We can excite a lot of envy," he said. "A lot of you when the people walk by your grave and there will be this nice grave with this nice monument and they'll say, ‘God what a great grave — I wish I were under.'"

30 year olds tend to romanticize their teen years and early 20s but those thoughts are mostly fairytale shyt that never happened. I talked with many oldcels and they say their 30s were better than their 20s.
