Depends

Is the land covered in snow or sand? Is it rocky or smooth footing? Has it rained recently or is it dry? Is it sunny or cloudy? What's the humidity like? Is it windy? What temperature is it?

Need all the environment details to give an answer
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

More than likely the chitbulls because they're probably hard to kill quickly for something that's not really a hunter

They'd start latching on and eventually wear out the gorilla

A clearing in a wooded forest. Footing is grassy but relatively dry, no rain the past 2 days, it's a clear summer day, humidity at 40%, no wind, just a slight breeze north by north west, 32 degrees celsius.

Agree. I think it could deal with one or two or maybe three, but sadly no more than that.

pitbull at 500

A typical silverback weighs 430 pounds (195 kg) and stands 5 feet (1.5m) tall.
Silverbacks are incredibly strong and can lift over 1763 pounds (800kg) of dead weight.
That's roughly twice as much as a well trained weightlifter.

Wouldn't the gorilla just crush one dogo than move onto the next? The things could be biting his leg but one smash to the head and they're dead. Then there's four then three then two.

Good points, well made. I have no idea and would hope the gorilla would win. But i think 5 pitbulls would not let go & wear it down.

Pit bulls would win easily. Gorillas look scary but they're just big soft babies at the end of the day who don't know how to fight. They might have a strong bite force but there isn't any evidence showing of them actually using it. Gorillas are made to look scary to scare off other males and predators but It's all for show. Silver back gorillas regularly get hunted by leopards which alone should tell you how vulnerable they really are. Pit bulls are bread to kill/fight, they are willing to fight to the death. Five of them can easily pick apart a gorilla.

Silverbacks aren't really predatory, but the pitbulls can be. And the Pitbulls like their owners like to gang up on others. Carnivores usually beat herbivores even with size and weight disadvantage.

A rhino can defend itself over a pack of lions. A silver back gorilla can't even defend himself over a small leopard. Can you show any footage of a gorilla stomping the tf out of other large dangerous animals? There isn't any because it doesn't happen. You've just been watching too many movies.

There is a lot of video documentation of jaguars jumping in the water and killing crocodiles, The misc doesn't understand the concept of animals that practice killing vs those that don't.

If they worked together as wild dogs do, then they would take turns biting him in the ass. Silverback would turn around to swat them but they move out of the way and another dog bites his ass. He would get tired of this quick and climb up a tree. Dogs are quicker.

There's a video online of a dog that entered a gorilla pit at the zoo. Gorillas tried but couldn't catch the dog.

Pitbulls would win if they attacked together. A single gorilla would send a pitbull flying with a single hit. Also, it depends on if the gorilla is male or female, and wild or raised in captivity. A wild male adult sivlerback would absolutely annihilate a pitbull 1v1 and probably even be able to scare off or hold his own vs 3. 5 is pushing it.

It'd be similar to astronauts, how well coordinated are the dogs and will they work together? Wolves would have a better chance than pitbulls, because they don't have astronaut IQ. A silverback would win against pitbulls, but could die to the injuries sustained when it absolutely slaughters them.

I'd pay good money to see pitbulls die, but I wouldn't want to put the innocent life of a silverback at stake for it. I'd rather just see the pitbulls shot. I'd pay for that too.

Are you stupid? The Congo jungle is full of animals in constant conflict of each other. Show me footage of a gorilla completely destroying a large dangerous animal. You can't because there isn't any. Gorillas are placid animals that were not made to fight.

Can't believe people are voting for the chitbulls.

Silverback has two arm two legs and can bite harder than the chitbulls, pits can only bite.

Gorilla would tank the bites and effortlessly crush them like the vermin they are.
