Lori Vallow, who was convicted of killing two of her children in a so-called doomsday plot, has been extradited to Arizona to face charges in connection with the death of her fourth husband.

Vallow, 50, was booked Thursday on one count of first-degree murder, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. She was indicted by a grand jury in 2021 in connection with the killing of Charles Vallow, who was fatally shot by her brother in 2019 during a confrontation at her Arizona home.

She was also booked on one count of first-degree premeditated murder, the sheriff said, after being indicted by a grand jury in 2022 for allegedly plotting with her brother to kill Brandon Boudreaux, the ex-husband of her niece.

She and her fifth husband, Chad Daybell, the author of religious fiction books, both reportedly adhered to a doomsday ideology. She once claimed she was "a god assigned to carry out the work of the 144,000 at Christ's second coming in July 2020" and didn't want anything to do with her family "because she had a more important mission to carry out," according to court documents obtained by ABC News.



The first significant incident occurred in July 2019 when Charles Vallow was shot and killed by Cox, who originally told Chandler police that he had acted in self-defense. In light of all evidence that surfaced during Lori Vallow Daybell's trial in Idaho, investigators believe her and Cox were co-conspirators in her husband's death.

After Charles' death, Lori moved with her kids, Tylee and JJ, to Rexburg, Idaho, where Chad Daybell lived. Investigators believe the children were killed in September 2019.

Lori married doomsday author Chad Daybell in November 2019 after Chad's first wife, Tammy, was killed just 17 days prior.

Investigators discovered Tylee and JJ's bodies buried in Chad Daybell's backyard in June 2020.

In May 2021, Chad and Lori were charged with murder and conspiracy in the death of her children. Chad was also charged with murdering his first wife, Tammy Daybell, while Lori was charged with conspiracy in Tammy's death.

Chad Daybell's triple murder trial will be broadcast live by the court after a judge amended a camera-ban on Wednesday.

Daybell's trial is scheduled for April 2024, although his attorney has several pending motions that could potentially alter the circumstances of the trial.

Around 2015, Lori became interested in Chad Daybell's Standing in Holy Places series of books. The Vallow family moved back to Arizona in 2016, and in the fall of 2018 Lori met Chad for the first time at a "Preparing a People" event. Chad claimed to Lori that they had been married in seven previous lifetimes. They started communicating privately afterwards.

After their initial meeting, Lori's husband went on a business trip, giving her the opportunity to hold a small overnight gathering at her home. Chad and Gibb were among the attendees, with Chad captivating Lori and the group by sharing his unique religious beliefs. He claimed to have lived 31 different lives on different planets and categorized people as “light” or "dark," based on their affiliation with Jesus Christ or Satan. Chad referred to Lori as an "eternal being" of 21 separate lives, five of which coincided with his own experiences on Earth. This belief system fascinated Lori, leading her to develop a strong attachment to Chad and his teachings.

There is no such thing as a good Christian woman in modern society. Maybe 150 years ago. And if there is, for every 1 good Christian woman, there’s 9 bad ones.
