Hard to stay motivated and on high-dopamine

SRS

The other day, I Realised I might be hardcore depressed.
I was starting to worry before that I might be sick or something - no enery, weird muscle fatigue, no motivation, no libido.

Then something good happened and felt energy spike - became productive, no longer felt like my eyes are dry and burning, ''woke up'' all of a sudden, felt like I'm 15 again etc.
Next day when the vibe wore off I was back to my ''old self'' - bored and unmotivated

A decade of work, life, and relationship stress took it's toll it seems - I feel like a zombie and forgot what it feels like to relax and be happy.

Not sure what to do to keep up bringing the good vibes. I always had this problem - even as a kid, but now it is even harder to do so with the boring adult life.

I seriously don't get how people live the NPC life till death.

Your diet and exercise will affect how you feel. And happiness is fleeting, but true joy only comes with having a relationship with Jesus Christ. The book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament was written by Solomon who had 700 wives and 300 concubines and was the wealthiest man to ever live. His insight is interesting.

Bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable unto all things.

My diet and exercise are good.

Solomon could spice up his day with all these HBBs so no wonder he was happy.

What do you think might have given you that positive rush?

Diet change? Lift extra heavy?

I know that feeling, and want to get that euphoria more often, because Feels Goodman.

Find something new to do that gives you a buzz.

Pick up BJJ or Muay Thai for example.

I just cleaned up all the stash I don't need the other day. Felt like being productive for the first time in a while.

I tend to work on PC and a desk job doesn't satisfy me at all. My male instincts cannot be triggered while I lay down on a chair all day.

After completing a gym session for an hour is the only time that kind of boosts me up a bit
Maybe you cannot cheat mother nature and being a man is only satisfactory if you are productive with your hands and legs. Not doing a ghey deskjob on a PC

That was the point. He was unhappy. He described all the stuff he had and all the women he had and all the things he was able to do without denying himself but concluded it is all meaningless without a relationship with God. That's the only source of true joy.

/end preaching

Hope you get out of this frame of mind. I agree with CellyTech that it is important to find something that challenges you. It's part of what makes you an interesting person to others.
