Waitress didn't charge me for my extra soda, so I added the cost to her tip

I do stuff like that too, but keep in mind the soda isn't coming out of her paycheck unless someone is actually policing refills. Highly unlikely unless she's already on her boss's chit list. The $1.50 soda costs the restaurant pennies.

The other day I was at a travel center and their freezers were out, so all the drinks were hot. Attached to the travel center was a Wendy’s. So I walked inside the Wendy’s only needing a cold drink. Asked for a medium fountain soda and the lady filled my cup with ice and told me to just take it. Had my card in my hand ready to pay.

Got a free soda. And that was that.
