Look up my post history. I said FPS and multiplayer was dead to me years ago

Can't get mad at the developers. Gamers lap up whatever is thrown at them. They love playing and spending real money on looter shooters with ingame cosmetics like rainbow boots, bunny ears, and purple hair.

I can't believe it took me so long to realize that PC really is the way. Im tired of being held back by poor gamers. Money is the only real limiting factor to modding and maxing out games like Skyrim, Cyberpunk 2077, and Witcher 3. Only reason to go console is for those huge titles like GTA 6. Sony is release their games on PC, so I say good riddance.


Right now I need about $5k so I can build a MOGGER PC.

I agree FPS is mostly dead, i think it's going to all eventually go into the battle royale mode eventually though. We may not even have traditional Battlefields or Halos in the future. They want battle royales in everything now man.

I remember the battle royal mode they had in bf1 I think it was firestorm or something

It had the basis for a good battle royal. Battlefield is already massive servers so it's kinda shocking it took them this long to do it.

It would have to be pretty incredible for me to get into it

Used to be hardcore bf fan

I’ve been done with battlefield Ever since 5 and never bought another one

Realistic since 1 since it indroduced run and gun fast gameplay

I changed to hell let loose and I’m never going back to that clown fuk **** of battlefield ever again. It’s not battlefield anymore, it’s a bunny hop cod fortnite apex game

Bf3& 4 we’re the last good ones. Battlefield is finished. Bf5 and bf2042 were beyond a joke. They literally pumped and dumped y’all lmao

Atleast 70% of people will not buy the next battlefield no matter how much cgi they use in there trailers

FPS is dead on console. The last best FPS I really like was Rainbow Six Siege. Now it's grade A trash. Every fps game is a looter shooter with dumb cosmetics like purple hair , clown masks, and rainbow boots. Apex, Fortnite, COD warzone all play the same.

Halo and BF 2042 aren't loot shooters they are still alive and well on Xbox.

Long gone are the BF days of destructible environments, vehicles and strategic/objective based modes.
Should've played BFBC2 a bit more back then.

Wow that's retarded. I hate all these clownish cosmetics, a couple of them look cool in Halo Infinite but they for sure shouldn't be in realistic games.

DICE knows what we want. An old school Battlefield shooter with plenty of destruction. We don't want retarded cosmetics, Warzone, or a dumb story mode.

They keep trying to get the COD and Fortnite crowd which is the death of the series

I literally cannot understand this type of decision. It's like the AAA games don't hear their customers and are so afraid to take risks. I just beat True Stalker (totally free and standalone game) and it was the best game I've played in probably a year or so.

This. Literally everyone is asking for a new BC game.

Legit the best multiplayer moments in memory were from college when we'd be up all night playing desert combat mod for BF1942 and then BF2 drops and it's all the modern combat stuff and it's insane.

I'm torn on BF3 vs 4 though.

Completely disagree, it give fresh life back into MP gaming. Height of Fortnite and PUBG brought so many new eyes and gamers to the space, and both are still wildly popular. So many companies trying to copy the formula but producing a bad product is the negative. Not everyone game needs to be a BR, or should be.

Siege was one of my most disappointing games last-gen. As a big fan of the TC Vegas games I thought it started out okay, they even had the terrorist hunt mode, but it didn't take long for me to realize how they screwed up the feel that Tom Clancy games used to have. With every major update it feels like they only got further and further away from TC games, pursuing an Overwatch/Fortnite sort of approach.

I can never wrap my head around why anybody likes pubg lol. Everything from the shooting, to movement to animations are all very bad. Almost every other BR does it better yet pubg holds a "high" player count on steam charts. I just don't get it.

I also find it strange that it's been consecutively top 5 player count game on steam charts for a few years yet every time I've played its been 90% bots in games. Wondering where those players are

Perhaps it's not your taste? I feel similar about Fortnite but it's clear it is a good game, even if it's not for me.

As far as the bots, I can only guess it's because of your low rank. Even on consoles it's all real players for me, and there is a much lower player count there.
