Why do beer and whiskey have a completely different feels to them?

Both are alcohol right? Pretty much the only liquors I drink. Beer is low alcohol volume but gets me same drunk if I drink lots of it in a short time. But still I feel beer and whiskey feel totally different, like the pre-drinking feels, when I am drinking it and the aftermath…At least I have some variety to look forward to…I can switch anytime…I feel beer is good for summers, whiskey is good for winters…

Still, man. I'm not trying to be a prick. I just hate to see a fellow miscer struggling with alcohol issues. If you're using it to minimize depression and have drinking on your mind this often, believe me, you should consider getting a lid on that

I mean LSD and Shrooms are both Hallucinogenics, but they feel different.

Vodka is different from tequila is different from rum is different from whiskey etc etc etc…

Many people get very different kinds of drunk/hungover depending on what liquor they drink. Some can't tell the difference.

I don't know when I will hit the lows (maybe that's when I will quit alcohol)…but for many years I have been drinking it regularly and always enjoying it…when I am not doing it I am always bored and depressed…so I see myself drinking it forever…

Thanks for concern and advice though…

For some it's an open game, they will consume anything to get high…without being careful?

Alcohol gave me fatty liver, ****ed up my life too. Don't do it OP.

Trazodone is a great drug that helps with anxiety and depression, works instantly and has none of the effects of SSRIs

For now, I think alcohol not helps with depression, but is also highly enjoyable and fun. Helps with boredom also.

With medicine it's like you gotta take them forever, like if I stopped taking medicine, it can counter react? To the point I would need it all my life?

Wait until it starts fuking your health up, and you're going to start regretting it man.

How much do you drink, anyway? Like how many drinks per day, and how many days per week?

I started drinking in 2007…back then it was just fun experimenting with friends….we would do a mini session of quarter a litre of whiskey each.

It was ocassional whiskey thing till 2011…

After 2011 I started visiting bars and clubs regularly…and then got hooked up on beer. It would be usually 2 pints every alternative day…later on turned into 3 pints…then 4 pints…then 5 pints….but I did it regularly…like 10 times a month….

Now it's like I drink 10 times a month…but on my drinking days I am downing 10 tall boy cans of beer..scattered around full day…with couple of meals in between…and some water….or I would down 1 litre of whiskey mixed with coca cola…in a same pattern….
