They have some awesome songs like Nemesis but are very generic for MDM. Can't listen to them much before switching to something else srs.

Cradle of filth is king of this genre. Some would argue they're Gothic Black metal.

Archenemy is alright, especially considering it has a female lead but I stopped listening to them along with Behemoth.

Still listen to Cradle of filth. Huge fan.

AE was one of my favourite bands when I was in high school. Especially the first three albums. I’ve since moved on to other things but I still throw them on here and there. I don’t care about the whole female vocalist bit. I just think Michael Amott writes some tasty riffs. The band is very “classic metal” with just a death metal glaze on top. Not too brutal but that’s fine by me.
