Would you take a transatlantic cruise?
8 days at sea from the UK to NY.
Pretty sure I’d rather do this than actually fly srs but imagine waking up on day 4, it’s pitch black out, you’re in rough waters knowing you’re 2,000 miles from the nearest civilization. If anything goes wrong you will 100% die. It would have to be a weird feeling.
Anyone ever done it?

I think that would be neat. Travel by boat where you still have a destination ahead of you instead of just going from port to port and getting a couple hours at a touristy place. When the vacation is over I'd probably just want to fly back.

I haven't but it's usually less money than a destination cruise. It would be fun, still lots to do on the ship and amazing food and drinks if you're into that. Cruise companies do this when they are relocating ships.
I've done cruises in the Mediterranean and BC/Alaskan coast. Cruises are fun.

I would do it. I've been on 13 cruises so far and love them. Going on another one next fall to the Caribbean.

Saw video the other day how they are trying to bring back the class system on these fancier ships.
Oddly, the cunard ones did it the least. they have first class type stuff but its nowhere near as many benefits or exclusive as it is on other lines.
I think they should go back to the old days of steerage, second class and first class with distinct differences.
I would be in steerage 100%.

No. What's the point? It's not warm out at sea there, and there isn't much to see.

Haven't been on a cruise so can't really say. But I will say that I would love to have a medium sized boat to travel across the world in.

Just saw the rooms on this ship are larger in square footage than my entire apartment fuark srs.
Their New York to Southampton trip sails on May 5th and you can get a balcony room for $1,500 per person.

That’s not THAT bad considering most of the amenities are included (minus extra meals and casino games). Basically $215 per day, similar to a nice hotel room in a major city. Flights from JFK to Heathrow are like $600 for chitty economy seats.
I think it’s well worth the luxury.
