If he actually lives in NOVA then it doesn't matter. 200k isn't great there. I am on poverty time 120k/year in VA Beach and it's tough down here. I couldn't imagine trying to live in NOVA/DC.

Nah. Donblaximus makes like $5 million a year, and there are like 4-5 other guys at that level. There are a lot of people ahead of me. I was posting on this forum as a pleb years ago and saw all these guys making it, and that motivated me. The misc used to be a great place for someone to develop themselves.

I like the Kia and the Civic is the only stick car you can get where you can have fun, go HAM, and not get in trouble or get yourself killed. I can't fit in a Miata unfortunately.

My brother had a WRX. It was a mess. First I hate how not smooth the powerband is, turbo lag out the ass. Also his car was brand new and at 1500 miles the tranny decided to explode. Extremely high CoL. I guess I make about average for my actual job duties. My base is $158k. I could maybe hit $170k if everything goes extremely well.

Although with the next union contract everyone is hoping for an increase in 15-20%.. hopefully you get matching TSP/401k contributions and you're actually maxing out. I know that you probably don't have a pension so save for your future
