Nuclear Silo Hidden in Plain Site

The attached photos are from a structure that makes very little sense. The property it sits on was owned by a defense contractor (was first ECI, then E-systems and lastly Raytheon) and there was a huge class action lawsuit because they were poisoning the waters with trichlorethylene and perchlorate: a salt used to make explosives. They cleared a hundred acres, destroying the existing structures and then erected this seemingly indestructible structure surrounded by military grade fencing and tons of video cameras everywhere. It is less than 1 mile from the Gulf of Mexico. Look at these pictures and tell me what this structure could be. There is no sign and there are no windows.

I grew up near the Azalea park across the street and played football for the Azalea Bulldogs as a kid. We used to turn the handle on the public fountain and the water used to come out with a yellowish tinge. We used to joke about it. Not really too funny now.

If there is a nuclear war I'm right in-line to have the missile land close enough to my house to be destroyed immediately, which is what I would prefer.

It could very well be an easily moveable structure exposing the silo beneath.

It's really not that difficult to find. It's literally labeled "Raytheon Building D". Plus OP told us it was near Azalea Park. I don't think that it's easily movable. Military related for sure, because that's what Raytheon does, and there's a military vehicle parked behind the building, but no missile silo.

We have something like that around here
It is smaller but it is a control hub for a utility with zero web access
I have a buddy that works in it and he just sleeps/watches for alarms, and phone calls to move switches/read out meters to other people in remote hubs
No internet so it is secure from hackers

God damn, it would be nice if they cared a little bit. Dirtying the water is terrible.
If there's a nuclear war we're all fooked. May as well get it over with quickly

1501 72nd St. N St Petersburg FL 33710 is the address. the property wasn't 100 acres but 29 acres and the structure is at the south end of the property.

Tampa bro here, no idea this thing existed, but doubt its a silo given the fixed roof as bro said above.

I'd wager some former chemical processing plant - they're usually the ones dumping a **** ton of plastics and other pollutants into the water.

They use the exact same fencing surrounding the Veteran's Administration Hospital which is a couple miles away.

They used to have the barbed wire fence when it was Raytheon. I don't think you can jump it with a rug like Brad Pitt in Fight Club.

op, there are a lot of structures like this across florida. The only this one is bringing attention is because of the water poisoning. That chemical is not a by product of nuclear weapons manufacturing, and we don't make nuclear weapons in silos. In short, none of the details align with the claim.

OK, Misc detectives conclude this is not a silo. I accept the conclusion, but was hoping it would be a silo because if there is a nuclear war then I would want the missile to land on my head.

Don't frett. With Mac dill only a couple miles to your east, you can guarantee the Tampa/Clear water/St Pete area would be toast.

Defense contractors don't own nuclear missiles. It would be on a government owned property and blacked out on Google maps. Look at Norad or area 51 on Google maps.

Around South Carolina when you get hear Bufort which is close to MCRD Paris Island the woods are fenced off from the road and there are grain looking silos and structures with no signs except signs that you better not be there unless you are authorized or consequences.

There used to be NIKE missile silos all around northeast Ohio during the Cold War.

One of them is where a community college sits now and the playground and baseball field next to it is called Nike Park.

Generic looking electronics manufacturing building. Probably made parts for patriot missiles or f-35 or something.
