TIL A. Huberman is a pimp

You guys see this article? Never liked his shilling AG1 but hadn't realized what a pimp he's become esp with fame and wealth.

https://nymag.com/intelligencer/arti...joe-rogan.html

Cliffs:
- Scientist garners popularity and begins believing he is expert at everything
- extrapolates from limited animal studies and promotes products based on questionable if any evidence
- limited connection to Stanford vs what he portrays (lives 350 miles away, "lab" is a lone grad student; equipment mostly given away or taken)
- rages at long term GF bc she had relationships with other men before him and even children (seems insecure for a guy approaching 50)
- while hassling her over her past, carries on multiple in depth affairs telling most if not all the women he is exclusive with them
- possibly gives gf HPV
- uses "therapeutic" language to manipulate women
- habitually keeps people waiting or no shows (likely due to meeting up with other women)
- keeps a woman waiting while flying another in
- women find each other via IG stalking and form a "support group" lol
- he also sometimes gets busted when women go through his phone
- gets nervous at group dinners lest someone capture him in a pic with one of his women
- lots of funny and desperate cover stories
- interested in "dark triad" characteristics and may exhibit or emulate some of same
- hoes love it and some are still in contact with him

Guy seems like an intelligent Miscer who somehow made it in his weird way. Kinda mirin dedication and extreme logistics tbh! But he needs to relax on the jealousy/insecurity and just enjoy the quality poontang his lifestyle now affords him IMO.

Idk, OP. The fact that he put in all that effort to sustain 6 LTRs and how he talked to them makes him seem more like an insecure psychopath than a pimpin Chad. You'd think he could've been smashing and dashing countless girls in their prime with way less effort & way less psychological harm caused.

Yeah I agree with this assessment. Far easier to just keep it light and chill, can even manage increased volume while rotating them through at his level. His jealousy and possessiveness is odd, especially when he should know what's up. He seems perhaps overly interested in sociopathic traits, possibly trying to understand himself or as something to emulate or both.

Strikes me as something a Miscer might do.

Definitely. It's fascinating to think he was likely as invested as anybody listening on learning from the experts he had on his show. I listened to his podcast a lot over the years, and the "dark triad" was brought up constantly.

Most entertaining and interesting people ARE dark triad - whenever you hear some juicy dirt or gossip regarding somebody around town and what they're up to, it's most likely a dark triad person.

I consider him a pseudointellectual. A lot of the studies he pushes have some seriously small sample sizes and I think money motivates his choice in what he chooses to push. An example of this is pushing Yerba Mate tea, claiming it's shown to increase alertness and speed. Those green pills he pushes are IMO scams. Seems like dried spinach and kale pulverized into a powder, placed into capsule form. Taking 1 or 5 a day won't make chit difference in your health.

He's not an expert in everything and shouldn't give detailed advice outside of the scope of his field.

Yeah or even just the people around town in your area who get up to mischief
