I'm not a suburban guy, but Napierville is a really cool place if you're looking for that type of lifestyle. There are like 4-5 suburbs in that area which are all great places to raise a family. Great bike trails, obviously a lot of planning has gone into making it a really nice place to live. Way better than any of these new places which are springing up all over the US

It's a odd paradox there. A lot of areas such as Aurora and other suburbs are really nice, lots of nice people, not much crime, but the saying wrong side of the tracks is not just a saying there. Cross into Cook county and it's Chiraq.

Yeah. Hinsdale, Clarendon Hills are near the top also.

It is really clean and quiet here.

Yeah, its crazy in Illinois because like others have said, even with Chicago, there will be nice quiet places, and 1-2 miles south of you, it's a **** hole.

Take Beverly in Chicago for example, beautiful homes, but East Beverly? ****ing **** hole.

I’ve never been to Chicago but I hear from just about everyone who has that it’s actually a phenomenal city, it just happens to be run by crooks and far left criminals. Peter Santenello did a series about Chicago and said it was one of the cleanest and safest feeling downtowns of any major city he’s ever been in srs. But then once you go to the south side it’s a war zone.

It wouldn’t surprise me if a Chicago suburb happened to be one of the better places to live.

Ive lived in Naperville. Its one of the richest places in the country. Its about 45 minutes from Chicago in DuPage County so its not like its got lots of joggers or something. Theres Indians because they own all the liquor stores. Whoever said Aurora is nice has obviously never been there. Its chitty as hell. Naperville is super expensive to live there but id move there if i could but Downers Grove is better. More laid back. I went to Downers South and the amount of hot chicks was just unreal. Lots of rich kids selling drugs. It was awesome

If you guys wanna see the worst movie ever made watch The Curse of Downers Grove. Loosely based on a true story but when i saw palm trees in the background i turned it off. Aint no fuking palm trees in IL

That's because there's a lot of people with solid jobs = solid tax base. Same thing outside of most cities.

Summer time Chi is the best, but the crime has killed the city.

I use to live in Chicago 20 years ago when I went to Depaul, I lived in Lincoln Park.

When I lived there it was pretty safe as long as you stuck to the nice areas like Lincoln Park and didn't wander in to Cabrini Greens. Back then the crime was mostly segregated to those areas, like the south side and areas like Cabrini Greens, now crime has got so outta control it doesn't matter where you live now.

The one good thing about Mayor Daily was he was tough on crime and didn't give a chit. I use to walk home at 2-3am in the morning. There is no way I'd be out that late now even in Lincoln park.

Mayor Daley* also sold literally ALL the city parking meters, a Chicago tollway, parking garages and tried to sell Midway Airport. He gave them sweetheart deals. Dude was a complete crook and fcked the city over with those awful deals. Every parking meter in the city is owned by UAE last I checked.

Every Mayor in Chicago is/was a crook, it's the 'windy' city, but at least he was better than the last and current chitty mayors.
