Why can we get tickets for going too slow in cars?

I was driving slow on an unfamiliar highway to be safe. I was driving under the speed limit and got a ticket for “impeding traffic.”

I tried arguing with the cop by saying “but I was under the speed limit!” And he just gave me some BS answer about also being a danger to others just like speeders.

Wtf? Why is there a speed limit if we can’t go slower? It just doesn’t make any goddamn sense. Ruined my day.

I've seen minimum speed signs on the highway before but that's about it.

It creates a hazard. If everyone is driving 70mph and one person is driving 40mph, it can cause people to swerve or to change lanes unexpectedly. You're more dangerous than speeders.

You actually can if you're a danger on the highway. My buddy failed a driving test because he drove 10 in a 20 mph zone. I'm pretty sure the slow AF retards driving 50 on the freeway at 4 am when I worked graveyard were drunks can't think of any other reason really.
