LOL @ the scripted fake draft tonight

Wonder if its more of the same. RAW guys showing up on SD and SD guys showing up on RAW.

I hope Rollins and Becks get drafted to different shows and have nightmare babysitting duties. I hope Bianca and Montez get split up too. If no real life wrestling couples get split to different shows, this whole thing is a sham.

Pretty sure Tama Tonga isn't getting split from Solo

Drew and Punk will also end up on the same show

Would be interesting if the Ying Yeneral is split from Ludwig or will they just be drafted as Imperium.

Same with Judgement Day, Damage Control, LWO and Final Testament Is an entire faction gonna be drafted as 1 pick or are they getting split up?

Its stupid. Its too hard to remember who is on which show and pretty sure no one really cares.

Does anyone else find it stupid how people who are already on the brand can get drafted to it?

Complete waste of a draft spot

Roman Reigns who was drafted to SD last year while already being on the brand for example

Trips is doing it all wrong. What they should do is when there is a bunch of wrestlers from NXT ready to be promoted to the main brands, then have a draft for those guys. You know draft the B leaguers to the main event rosters, not main event roster wrestlers to the same shows they're already on…duh….Everyone else should be in a contract situation and they can have storylines about expiring contracts and getting signed to a different show as free agent and have trades. They've done it before, but its been minimized. There should be big storylines about who may get traded, who is unhappy, who wants a contract extension and who wants to be released.

that would also mean the entire draft is bringing up NXT talent. do you really want to pull 8-10 people off of NXT every year?

The whole brand split is stupid and is past its shelf life.

Every PPV includes both rosters. They should just merge the rosters like in the old days. If you want to keep certain titles on certain shows, fine. But the official split is tired.

I never liked using the draft to break up tag teams or factions. They should be kept together and should dissolve of their own volition. The couple thing is just a recent WWE development, they do that as a courtesy to the wrestlers so they can spend more time with their S/O.

Not sure the best way to go about roster shakeup, but the draft was very underwhelming. Minimal changes, cringe war room cuts, and I doubt these brand alignments will even be enforced.

I disagree. The brand split COULD be fantastic if they actually enforced it. I'm fine with PPVs including both rosters and I don't see that as an issue. I do see an issue with random wrestlers just appearing on the other show or winning titles from that show. Dom winning NXT North American title, Judgment Day on every show, women's tag champs on every show, random NXT people showing up on the main shows, some of whom still hold NXT titles. Assign titles to specific shows and only wrestlers who are on those shows should be able to compete for them. And the only exception is Money in the Bank cash in or Royal Rumble winner. And in that case the wrestler winning the title moves to the show that has that title.

For NXT call ups first of all they should drop their titles before WWE puts out there that they are moving to the main roster. Then just announce ahead of time "so-and-so's NXT contract is expiring and he will be a free agent." At that point he can show up in segments on Smackdown and Raw and the GMs can try to sign them. Or they get hired or added to a faction on the main roster by surprise, in which case they should be an NXT title holder either.
