Hobbies you've completely lost interest in over the years

Small pets

I've always kinda liked small pets. Had some small lizards, hamsters, frogs, fish, and chit like that at various times in my life.

I recently retired a final small pet setup I still had going with some tree frogs in it when the last one died. It was a nice setup while it lasted, but during that time, I realized I had no interest in continuing it beyond that anymore. Still have no regrets about not getting more. Like I said, as neat as they can be, it can be a deceptively big PITA to maintain. They can arguably hold you down more than even a dog can depending on their care needs, because some require almost daily attention to an extent. Nobody wants to come take care of your pet reptiles, fish, birds, or rodents, but they will usually be cool about stopping by to feed a cat. Plus dogs can be taken many places with you, and dogs (and even cats) are 100x more rewarding to have due to their unconditional love of you.

Do you just make a thread whenever a random thought comes to mind?
