I'm starting to do them again and on Friday I received my second recent short sale approval so will have two recent closings of short sales. I'm going to explain what a short sale is and if people want to know how to buy a property on the cheap then I will post more about strategy.

A short sale exists when the net-on-sale is less than the mortgage payoff (e.g. someone owes $500k and the home is worth $450k).

The property can be bought for a lot less than $450k if you follow my methods.

Short sales are more about perception than reality.
