A resident of russia living outside of Moscow has to go through a huge clearance process anytime they want to travel to moscow - having to go through multiple checkpoints before they arrive in the city.

Becouse of this, any foreigner who visits Moscow is immediately tracked upon arrival. Every communiccation, every movement, every gesture is recorded and monitored. Even the hotel a foreigner stays in will have AUDIO monitoring of the hotel room!

Those people are on a different wavelength entirely - and still, very firstworld. Imagine if the U.S. had such a city which only the best of the best were allowed to live.

Ill-performance by any resident of Moscow doesn't just result in loss of employment - they get Reassigned to live in a poverty oblast.

The city is so powerful, in fact, that its capabilities are greater than that of any other city in the world. At the expense of having the rest of the entire country live in poverty.
