Question for those who have been in great shape for many years…

Do you get sick of giving advice to people who will never follow through on anything you tell them to do? 5 out of 1000 people you give advice to will actually do what you tell them, does that piss you off? Do you ever just give up on people?

Yes. I've gotten to where if someone comes to me for advice, I just tell them to eat no sugar for a week or two and if they can do that, I'll help them beyond that.

Fit. Unfortunately most people are short term thinking people. They want to lose 10 pounds and then once they reach their goals they backtrack.

Its really not worth getting too deep into the topic tbh.

Being fit, muscular or lean isn't really that difficult. There are complete morons that are in great shape.

All it requires is effort consistently.

It does get frustrating sometimes having the same conversations and hearing the same excuses over and over again. But I enjoy talking about it so will still try to help if asked.

I like talking about it, if they are serious. Most people asking I noticed are not really that serious. They ask and then eyes glaze over like they have already decided they can't do it.

Lmao the feels. OP…the amount of times I've done that is innumerable. I keep thinking, "Yea this is the time that they're asking for advice and they're going to really follow through." They never do.

So the past few years I say nothing, tell them nothing, give zero advice. All I say now is "yea the carnivore diet. Look it up." That's it. I've completely given up.

i’m 31 years old, 5ft10, 145-150 lbs. i have been athletic my whole life. sometimes i feel i’m in better shape as i age. play a lot of pickup sports and basically perform better than both people younger and older. i am very grateful and blessed that i am in good shape. i do a lot of running/sprinting sports.

i would say honestly the most important thing is to just have a healthy diet. don’t eat junk or eat fast food and definitely not too much sugar. you don’t even need that much physical activity but that’s the fun part.

eating at home and eating healthy is generally pretty easy. greek yogurts, eggs, steak, chicken, salad, fruit, almonds. then of course occasionally you can treat yourself.
