They say the F-16 is inferior to the F-15 which has an undefeated record.

If NATO sent F-16 instead of F-15's then it's clear they're just trying to prolong the war by sending the Ukrainians inferior fighters.

When we give or sell planes to people there are different packages that come with them.

Saudis for example pay full pop for them and all the add ons, That means they get not only the most advanced versions of the planes but also the training, spare parts, maintainers, support equipment, spares, you name it. The whole air base basically. Of course that doesnt come cheap.

These other countries get less, They will get the older planes and some training. Some dont even get the technical manuals that come with them depending on how the deal was structured.

What happens is they use them well for the most part but sparingly because they are expensive and if they break there arent a lot of spare parts around. Parts are hard for us to get for our own planes so a foreign country is going to be last in lone when it comes to them.

What we are really seeing is just another way for politicians to line their pockets. Probably had some big donors at the factory where they make these who needed a piece of the action.

Unless there are airforce pilots flying these, they will have moderate success at best.

2/3rds of the US air fleet doesn't have enough stealth features to survive against modern AA missile batteries. If we sold Ukraine the old chit, those planes are just target practice.

And we probably did, because non-stealth aircraft are just a liability for us now. Having Russia blow them up saves us the maintenance costs, and to hell with the Ukrainian pilot.
