Yes, definitely. You gotta look up a youtube vid explaining the ending to appreciate it.

Also, Late Night With the Devil is good.

Needing to do that means it loses points imo.

Solid recommendation. The Italian horror directors are lit. They don't hold back in showing you all the gory details - like, check out Fulci's Zombi where the zombie pulls a girls eye all the way through a wooden shard and the camera never pulls back. The Italians dove so headfirst into extreme violence and gore they literally pushed the limits of what was legally acceptable.

Like Cannibal Holocaust, which involved actual legal proceedings.

My recommendation would have to be the first few Hellraiser movies. I just like the concept of the Cenobites, so interesting and creative. Also a shout out to the Guinea Pig movies from the late 80s, also so extreme the FBI got involved when Charlie Sheen saw one.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Here is a list of GOOD, decent rated (above 60% on Rotten tomatoes) , semi realistic (not fantasy/horror mixed in with some monster animation at the end) and fairly new horror movies to stream this weekend:
1. Watcher

2. The Babadook[Though its somewhat old]

3.Late night with the Devil

4. The last Omen [Although gets too over the top and unrealistic towards the end]

5. The night house

Kind of depends, because you can break horror down into different genres:

Creepy horror: Hereditary, Sinister, The Grudge, Conjuring.

Gory horror: Terrifier, In A Violent Nature, Evil Dead.

Then movies like The Descent and Late Night with the Devil are kind of both. All excellent though.
