I got to thinking the other day, the only states that have real culture in the south are Louisiana, Texas and Florida. I'm from Alabama (originally from Mississippi). The only thing cool that ever happened there was racism and drug addiction whne you really think about it

Traditional Texas culture is long gone tbh. You dont see cowboys and fiddle players walking around in Texas.
Texas can be a great place to live for a lot of reasons, but it's not the Texas from the movies. Theres really not much thats specific to Texas these days, and I think that goes for most places. The differences between regions are far more subtle now.
