So the most prosperous country in the world needs people donating school supplies?

Every year around this time I start seeing stuff on the local news about schools wanting donations and teachers being so appreciative of the donations they receive…boxes at about every store. What the heck, we can't afford to educate the chillren without donations?

It isn't that there isn't enough money, it's about distribution of the money. In public schools the growth of administration grew at 10x the rate of student and teacher growth over the last 20 years. One can make the case that some of that was needed. Okay, but 10x?

We sent all the money for it to Ukraine, you bigot. Oh wait, Ukrainians are white… Hmmm. How did we actually send white people money? That must be a mistake. I guess we'll make up for it by sending some extra money for school supplies to some kids in South America. Nevermind, it will take too long, just tell them to come here and then we'll give them free school supplies, while our kids still continue not to have them.

See, problem solved .

We don't need it, it's just the "parents" are spending their money on other "stuff" and they have a victim complex and "muh kidz".

It should be your kids show up to school with their needed supplies or a fine is sent to the parents. I'm sure there will be a few exceptions to the rule, there are really poor people out there but they are the minority of those asking for handouts.

We sent it all to Ukraine, Israel, and we're even paying family members of the taliban that the military smoked. Our priorities in govt spending are fuked and have been for 90 years.

Yep, that was back in the day.

Friend of mine told me how they want all the kids to show up with supplies and then the teachers go around with boxes telling the kids to put the supplies in the box so "we can share them" and of course some kids, especially the black and hispanic kids won't bring much if anything.

Parents laughing at how stupid the responsible other parents are and then wondering why they never get ahead.
