Is there anything more pathetic than people obsessed with the NFL?

Don’t get me wrong, I like the NFL and my Lions but the football craze is at a whole new level of stupid. Some people must have nothing going on in their lives to be so obsessed with football.

brb watch woke ESPN 24/7
brb wearing another man’s name on your back
brb go watch the game at some chit sports bar
brb spend $1000 to take the fam to the game
brb maholmes kelce and swifties
brb spend 7 hours a week on fantasy football
brb cowboys fan for no reason
brb packers tattoo on my chest like an idiot

I’m down for watching the game on Sunday, but that’s it. And if I miss it, the highlights are good enough. Imagine investing all of your free time for 6 months to watch a bunch of grown men push each other around and in reality 31/32 teams will end their season in disappointment. And the winner gets to hold a trophy over their head, lol.

the most bizarre thing to me is when coworkers ask "did you catch the game over the weekend" and I'm like "wtf, first off which sport, second off, which game, third off, why do people automatically assume I know what they're talking about as if it's as obvious as the weather?"

And most of those people just repeat whatever they heard on ESPN to you

And nothing is better than the people who tell you “the coach really screwed up blah blah blah.” Then why are you some poverty wage cuck and not an NFL head coach hurr durr

Haven't watched slave ball in years. I'm amazed they're still in business.

Not really. Anyone can have a full on hobby. Could be gaymes, books, action figures, art. I think people who collect and go all the way in on a hobby is cool interest.

And with the NFL, its pretty vast so there's alot of things you can do with it.

Good point. Never thought of it like that.
